What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is one of the most widely recognized and successful methods of complementary medicine in the world. Its effectiveness in treating a wide variety of disorders has been clinically proven by many distinguished researchers. Not only is it safe, but it does not cause any of the toxic side effects associated with traditional medicines. The Koreans, Chinese, and other eastern cultures have been using acupuncture to restore, promote and maintain good health for thousands of years. Nowadays more and more people are finding this long established therapy can offer an effective solution to all manner of today’s ills. This ancient art of healing involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific points of the body. Acupuncture, along with nutrition and exercise, works with the natural vital energies of the body to promote its ability to heal itself. That’s what makes it so powerful, it assists your body’s self-healing mechanisms and corrects biochemical imbalances. Most people seek out Acupuncture and Oriental medicine after being disappointed with the results of medications and other treatments. Even the strongest modern drugs usually can only mask symptoms, not cause healing. True healing is only possible when your body heals itself.
